Dr. Hussain Olanrewaju ABUBAKAR is a Lecturer II in the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with 7 years of expertise in university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
He has served as departmental class adviser, SIWES coordinator, Examination monitoring committee member, among others. His research interests include GIS/Remote sensing, and Environmental and Engineering Geophysics.
He has over 23 research articles in renowned national and international journal outlets.
Dr. Abubakar has a first degree in Geology, a PGD in Applied Geophysics, an M.Sc , and a Ph.D in Geology. He also has a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Sciences (MGIS).
He is a member of a Society of Geophysicists and Computational Geoscientists (SGCG), National Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH), Nigeria Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS), Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), National Association of Engineering Geology and Environment (NAEGE), and Nigeria Society for Economic Geologists (NSEG).
