Wasiu Olanrewaju RAJI is a Professor in the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with about 20 years’ university teaching, research and administrative experience.
He has served as Deputy Director, Centre for Laboratory to product – LAPTOP, Centre for international education – CIE, Head of Department, and Director, Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme, (SIWES). His research covers the intersection of Earth physical process and the subsurface properties that relate to Energy, groundwater and mineral exploration and evaluation.
He has about 100 scientific papers and patents.
Professor Raji is a recipient of NAPE’s best paper award, SEG award, Stanford University Postdoctoral Scholarship, Exxon Mobil US research award, Stanford-USTC-MIT award, TETFund research grant, and NSERC (Canada) award. He’s a member of the Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society, Nigerian Association of Petroleum explorationists, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, and the Society of Exploration Geoscientists.
